Telemedicine center set up in Baotou

A telemedicine center affiliated to Peking University Cancer Hospital has been set up in Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, according to a May 11 Baotou Daily report.

Baotou residents now have access to the quality medical resources of Beijing in Baotou city.

Peking University Cancer Hospital is one of the largest and most prestigious hospitals in the field of cancer research and treatment in China.

According to Shi Xuesen, president of Baotou Cancer Hospital, Peking University Cancer Hospital and Baotou Cancer Hospital formed a technical support unit in 2016. Over the past two years, Peking University Cancer Hospital gave great support and assistance in terms of hospital management, scientific research and teaching, and personnel training to Baotou Cancer Hospital.

It has sent a team of experts to provide professional guidance on the medical technology for Baotou Cancer Hospital. Thirty young doctors at Baotou Cancer Hospital were provided opportunities for further study at Peking University Cancer Hospital.
