Direct flight links Baotou with Wuhai

A direct flight linking Inner Mongolia’s Baotou with Wuhai was launched on May 11, according to a Baotou Daily report.

The flight, operated by Joy Air on a Modern Ark 60, is scheduled to fly twice a week on Friday and Sunday.

The flight leaves Wuhai at 13:45 and arrives in Baotou at 15:00. The return flight departs Baotou at 15:30 and reaches Wuhai at 17:00.

Discounted tickets are available for the new flights, with a one-way ticket on sale for as little as 100 yuan ($15.78). At present, the Joy Air flights are exempt from fuel tax.

In order to promote tourism links in Inner Mongolia, Baotou Airport now offers direct flights to different parts of the autonomous region including Wuhai, Alashan, Alshaa League, Urad Middle Banner and Ulaanqab. It will continue to open new flight routes linking the city with other cities in the autonomous region.
