Two international routes to Sabah in Malaysia and Bali Island, Indonesia will open at the Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport, providing travelers with more travel options to Southeast Asia, according to Hebei Airport Management Group on May 14.
Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport, a subsidiary of Hebei Airport Management Group, is further developing international air routes to serve customers.
In the first four months of this year, the airport completed a throughput of 93,500 international passengers, an increase of 46.4 percent year-on-year.
It also opened services for airlines including Sky Angkor Airlines, Lanmei Airlines and Thai Airways, and routes to hot spots in Southeast Asia such as Siem Reap and Krabi.
Currently, flights to Singapore and Phuket Island have increased, including one flight a day from Shijiazhuang to Singapore, three a week to Cambodia’s Siem Reap, and one to two a day to Phuket Island and Bangkok. The flights will be increased to 26 a week to Southeast Asian countries during the coming summer season.
