A rhododendron festival commenced in Orgon (Oroqen) Autonomous Banner, Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia autonomous region on May 8, attracting hundreds of tourists to view the blossom scenery and art performances.
Every May, rhododendrons blossom all over the mountains in Orgon. Visitors can embrace beautiful scenery combining green hills, blue lakes, and a purple sea of flowers. Sometimes, tourists can also experience snowfall adding to the beautiful scenery.
Darbin Lake National Forest Park, a beauty spot in the banner, features an exceptionally dense concentration of volcanic landforms including volcano clusters, hot springs, lakes formed in volcanic craters and granite hills.
In recent weeks, the banner has strengthened the cooperation between the local government and enterprises to promote forests, wildlife, ethnic customs and tourism.
