Recently, a 500-year-old peony tree is in full blossom at Huaniang Peony Garden in Dalian, North China’s Liaoning province. According to an executive of the scenic spot, the peony was planted by a famous Chinese physician Li Shizhen during the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It was moved from Northwest China's Gansu province to Dalian last winter and began to bloom during the past Labor Day holiday. [Photo/dlxww.com]
