An emergency air rescue drill was conducted by the Health and Family Planning Commission of Liaoning Province, China Medical University, and Shanghai Kingwing General Aviation Co in Shenyang, on May 9.
An air rescue team from China Medical University was established on the day, which included 10 rescue teams and one flight team, enabling air rescue across several different provinces.
Air rescue plays a vital role in tackling life-threatening medical emergencies, particularly in hard-to-reach areas, enabling a patient to be rushed to hospital, sometimes within minutes of an incident.
