Yantai launches media tour to promote modern logistics industry

The launch ceremony for an interview tour was held in Yantai , East China's Shandong province on May 7 to promote the city's modern logistics industry.

During the tour, over 30 major media agencies including people.com.cn and xinhuanet.com will get to know the city's modern logistics industry and its innovations from May 8-10.

The activity focuses on in-depth interviews regarding agricultural products cold chain logistics, electrical business logistics, multimodal transport, pipeline transportation and supply chains.

The Yantai government places high importance on the city’s logistics industry and is committed to build an integrated logistics center which can serve Shandong Peninsula and Northeast Asia.

In 2017, the total amount of social goods logistics in Yantai city reached 2.16 trillion yuan, ranking 4th in Shandong province. The total amount of imported logistics was 133.7 billion yuan and agricultural products logistics totaled 72.9 billion yuan, ranking 3rd in Shandong province.

Yantai has become one of the cities developing the logistics industry in China and is a regional hub in that regard.
