A global cross-border e-commerce festival will be held at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center from June 15 to 17, the same time as the 3rd Shenzhen International Cross-Border E-Commerce Trade Expo.
The Shenzhen Cross-Border E-commerce Association announced the plan at a news release on May 4, noting that e-commerce magnates and sellers will gather here to jointly promote the traditional enterprise market.
In accordance with the Belt and Road Initiative, the theme of the festival is to connect regions and areas all over the world and proactively help traditional e-commerce open up new markets and facilitate mode development.

The exposition will cover an area of 15,000 square meters and contain 10 major exhibition areas, including well-known e-commerce platforms, cross-border e-commerce, e-commerce demonstration cities, and so on. The number of professional visitors is expected to exceed 60,000.
Cross-border e-commerce has become a new engine for international trade growth, pushing forward traditional trade modes and transformations in manufacturing. According to the E-Commerce Research Center (100EC.CN), statistics have shown that the overall trade volume of cross-border e-commerce in 2017 reached 7.6 trillion yuan ($1.2 trillion). It is expected to reach 9 trillion yuan in 2018.
Wang Xin, the association director, said that the festival and exposition will build a platform for government-enterprise communication and inter-industry exchanges. Many opportunities are provided to expand the international market for China's e-commerce exploration and encourage cooperation, mutual benefits and harmonious development with the overseas e-commerce industry.
Shenzhen, as the first pilot city for cross-border e-commerce, will spare no effort in developing its e-commerce industry and carving out a new path for improving manufacturing.
