Xiamen Airlines shows Chinese quality to the world

Xiamen Airlines was invited to attend the 72nd World Conference on Quality and Improvement held in Seattle, the United States on April 30 to introduce the aviation industry in China.

Zhao Dong, general manager of the Xiamen Airlines, delivered a speech titled Chinese-style Advancement and Innovation in Aviation Services at the first China-US Quality Summit during the event.

Zhao summarized Xiamen Airlines' service as having consistent standards and a responsible attitude.

He said that the company developed the real-time monitoring system of Hydromechanical Unit (HMU) to remove the hidden danger of flameout in flight and also applied the system to other airline companies free of cost.

Such a move was highly respected by its partner Boeing Co and General Electric Co.

Xiamen Airlines, renowned as the epitome of China's aviation industry, will continue building an air bridge for the economic cooperation and cultural exchanges between China and other countries.

He also called on the Chinese and US airline enterprises to be more open and inclusive so as to achieve common development in today's digital era.

Founded in 1984, Xiamen Airlines now houses 196 aircrafts and has opened 182 air routes leading to 109 cities in Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, Southeast Asia, Japan, and Europe.

The annual World Conference on Quality and Improvement has developed into the most significant event of its kind in the world after its establishment in 1947. The event attracted approximately 3,000 experts from more than 50 countries and regions this year.
