Six major industries produced output worth 27.99 billion yuan ($4.40 billion) in Hohhot, in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, in the first quarter of 2018. This was a 13.4-percent increase year-on-year and accounted for 85.5 percent of the city's total industrial output.
The six industries are power and energy, petrochemicals, food processing, biomedicine, photovoltaic materials and electronic information, with output value of 9.91 billion yuan, 6.88 billion yuan, 5.63 billion yuan, 3.56 billion yuan, 1.68 billion yuan and 330 million yuan respectively.
