Baotou to host piano festival in June

Baotou is to host its first international piano festival from June 1 to 3, according to Baotou Evening News.

The three-day festival will consist of three lectures, 18 open classes, 100 one-on-one tutoring lessons, and three high-level mentor concerts. Winners of the piano competitions will have the chance to perform onstage with other pianists. Registration for trials for the competitions has ended and the selection of finalists is underway.

Hosted by the College of Art and Design of Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology, the festival is aimed at promoting piano performing and stimulating the development of related cultural industries.
