Small and micro industrial enterprises record revenue increases

Small and micro industrial enterprises have seen increases in revenue in the first quarter of 2018 with cumulative operating income reaching 1.02 billion yuan ($160 million), according to Baotou municipal economic and information commission.

The figure represented year-on-year growth of 29.1 percent. Total profits hit 67 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 183.78 percent.

There were 337 industrial enterprises in seven small and micro enterprise innovation and entrepreneurial demonstration bases in the city by the end of the first quarter of 2018. The number of employees grew from 707 to 11,332, year-on-year growth of 6.65 percent.
