Tax refund for foreigners in Xiong'an from May

Starting May 1st, foreign passport holders are now able to enjoy tax refunds for purchases at 46 shopping malls and stores in the Xiong'an New Area.
Foreign visitors to the new economic zone to the southwest of Beijing are able to recoup their taxes from the purchase of 324 items, including clothing, jewelry and home electronic appliances.
They are able to claim their refunds at the airports in Shijiazhuang and Qinhuangdao, as well as the port of Qinhuangdao before leaving China.
Provincial stats show over 310,000 foreign tourists visited Hebei province through the first quarter of this year, spending around $130 million US dollars.
