A total of 360 major projects worth 242.8 billion yuan ($38.2 billion) began construction in Hechi in 2017, according to official data from a news release held on April 27.
Investments totaling 26.5 billion yuan have been processed, three billion yuan more than the last year's figure, accounting for 57 percent of the fixed asset investment.
A fixed asset investment of 45.3 billion yuan was achieved last year, a year-on-year increase of 12.2 percent. Hechi has fulfilled all the goals set by the autonomous government, with investment growth hitting a record high in recent years.
Hechi unveiled a policy last year to establish a standard project planning and construction system. Support funds totaling 2.3 billion yuan were drawn from the national and autonomous government.
A total of 656.9 hectares of construction land was allocated to the city, among which 417 hectares were used to relocate people from poverty-stricken areas.
Conferences have been organized to solve over 180 problems regarding land, funding and approval processes for the projects in order to ensure their success.
