Deng said that the establishment of the CIDCA is a significant measure to safeguard world peace and promote common development. The agency is willing to cooperate with the United Nations Development Programme, contributing to narrowing the development gap between North and South and to pushing forward construction of the Belt and Road.
Xu noted that the establishment of the CIDCA will make China more effective in foreign aid and coordination. “The United Nations Development Programme looks forward to enhancing communication and cooperation with the CIDCA in the implementation of the 2030 sustainable development agenda,” he added.
