College students ready to join army in Sanmenxia

Over 100,000 students in Sanmenxia Polytechnic College participated in a conference on April 26 which aimed to recruit outstanding college graduates into the armed forces.

Chen Jianfu, deputy chief of Sanmenxia Military Sub-region, gave a lecture informing students of the benefits of joining the military, physical check-ups, admission and arrangements for military recruitment.

"Our school has regarded it as a duty to send high-achieving students to the military. Last year, 185 students joined, exceeding our target by 76 percent," said Wu Yongjun, president of the Sanmenxia Polytechnic College.

At least 600 college students were eager to fulfill their patriotic duty by submitting an application. That is three times the number of applicants who applied last year.
