Changsha transport agencies get ready for the upcoming May Day holiday which will last from April 29 to May 1.
Running interval of metro trains during peak hours will be accordingly shortened to meet the growing travel demand and relieve the traffic pressure, according to Changsha Metro.
The internal between the two trains for metro Line 1 will cut down to five minutes 58 seconds and that of trains for Line 2 to four minutes 11 seconds during peak hours from 13:00 to 22:00 from April 28 to May 1.

Due to the firework show to be held at the Orange Island on the evening of May 1, Line 1 trains won't stop at Xiangjiang Middle Road Station from 18:00 or at Juzizhou Station from 19:00 on the day. Travelers are kindly reminded to make prior plans for their trips.
In the meanwhile, Changsha Metro will enhance security check during the three-day holiday to ensure that passengers have a safe travel experience.

An estimated number of 1.1 million travelers will depart from Changsha South Railway Station in the next three days, a daily average of 270,000, according to the general office of the station.
Travelers are suggested to set off or arrive in the East Square of Changsha South Railway Station as the traffic there is relatively less stressed.
