Space Hero, the first astronautical television series in China, began filming at Wuxi Studios on April 26.

Aerospace experts, such as astronauts Liu Wang and Liu Yang, as well as Long Lehao, scholar of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, attended the ceremony to recount their space journeys and visit East China's first space technology experience hall alongside Wuxi's primary and middle school students.

Liu Wang and Liu Yang were both aboard the Shenzhou 9 spacecraft, along with Jing Haipeng, when it rendezvoused and docked with Tiangong-1 on June 16, 2012.

The series tells the stories of astronauts, from their rigorous training to their selfless courage during hazardous expeditions for the motherland, and also highlights the miraculous nature of space flight. It is mainly filmed at the Astronaut Center of China in the Beijing Aerospace City and incorporates realistic astronaut training scenes. Post-production will take place at Wuxi Studios.

According to Wuxi Hanteng Wenhua, the production company, this TV show is the third major event related to China's space industry, following the provision of power components for aeronautic and astronautic spacecraft by Wuxi Turblade, as well as the "Space-blue" fall and winter garments provided to astronauts by Jiangsu Sunshine Group.

Wuxi Hanteng Wenhua joined the China Space Foundation last year and is expected to be closely involved in the development of China's space industry. Thanks to the China Space Foundation, students in Wuxi will have the opportunity to indulge their space fantasies by exploring the four satellite launch centers and the Astronaut Center of China.
