Jiangyin becomes provincial pilot city for building social credit system

Jiangyin will be one of the first cities in Jiangsu province to implement the new social credit system, designed to foster an atmosphere of credibility and support the harmonious development of society.

In order to build a "creditable Jiangyin", the city will accelerate the development and refinement of a social credit system that meets the demands of economic growth and people's welfare.

The credit system will be implemented in the following ways.

Jiangyin will build a credit reporting system spanning the whole city in order to effectively reward the creditable and punish the discreditable.

It will ensure credibility in all sorts of social activities by implementing a personal credit score and evaluation system that will provide creditable citizens with conveniences like access to recreational facilities and reduction in transportation costs.

The city will also ensure credibility in areas intimately connected to people's lives, such as education, employment, enterprises, loans, social security, and so on. A credit rating system will be adopted in industries like food production, pharmacy retail, vehicle repair, and other industries that directly affect the people, with the goal of allowing every citizen to lead a comfortable and carefree life.

Jiangyin will strengthen its social credit management system and organize a series of demonstration activities to promote credibility in sanitation, transportation, tourism and other areas. Assessments of creditable model stores will also be carried out.
