Tsampa is Tibet's staple food and this nutty-tasting delicacy is prepared from delicious roasted barley.
The food is similar to fried noodles in north China. The difference is that the fried noodles need to be grounded first and then fried, while the Tsampa in Tibet is fried first and then grounded without removing the skin. Tsampa is often eaten with Tibetan butter tea.
