Established in 2005, Caterpillar (China) Machinery Components Co, located in the Wuxi Xinwu district (Wuxi Hi-tech district), Jiangsu province, covers a manufacturing space of 101,000 square meters set on 19 hectares. Wholly-owned by US-based Caterpillar Inc, the company in Wuxi Xinwu district engages in manufacturing mechanical parts.

With a total investment of more than $323 million, the company owns three independent factories that design and manufacture hydraulic and powertrain components and operator stations, which aims at markets in the US, Brazil, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia and Belgium.
