Baogang Group exported 530,300 tons of steel in the first quarter of 2018, a year-on-year increase of 25.67 percent, according to statistics released by Baotou Steel International Economic and Trading Co, a subsidiary of Baogang Group.
The export value reached $311 million, a year-on-year growth of 52.68 percent. There were 44 exporting countries, an increase of 51.72 percent, compared with 29 in the same period in 2017.
Established in 1954, Baogang Group is an iron and steel State-owned enterprise based in Baotou. It is the largest steel business based in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, and one of the oldest iron and steel industrial bases in China, with a large production base and the country’s largest scientific research and production base for rare earth metals.
