2018 CIFIT's Beijing promotional conference shows improvements

2018 CIFIT's organizing committee organized its first promotional conference in Beijing on April 18, which showed some improvements compared to those held in previous years.

The 2018 CIFIT is expected to be held in Xiamen, Fujian province from Sept 8 to 11.

To promote CIFIT in China's major cities is the organzing committee's regular plan, among which Beijing promotional conference is the one most people who pay close attention to the CIFIT are more familiar with.

Information release

One of the important functions of CIFIT is to release information, including the authoritative reports issued by China's Ministry of Commerce, United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), and UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).

The information release at this year's Beijing promotional conference, the first one of its kind ever held in CIFIT's promotional conference, is to indicate the highlights of the 2018 CIFIT and share expert's views on the macro-economic situation and investment trend in 2018.

Representatives of the 2018 CIFIT's guest country and province of honor, its members and partners were also invited to share their impressions on the fair.

Project matchmaking activities are integrated with promotional conference

To combine project matchmaking activities with CIFIT's promotional conference is an innovative move for this year's CIFIT and this move increased the enthusiasm of investment institutions and project holders.

As the important activites during the CIFIT, project matchmaking activities are used to integrate all the resources and are capable of producing fruitful results.

Wang Qiongwen, member of the CIFIT's organizing committee and director of Xiamen Bureau of Conference and Exhibition Affairs, said at the Beijing promotional conference that the key to the upgrading of the CIFIT is to integrate the project matchmaking activities with exhibitions, conferences, forums and other supporting activities.

More precise matchmaking

All the seats at the Beijing promotional conference were arranged according to similar industries so as to help projects find their potential investors.

Participants for the Beijing promotional conference were required to show their exclusive two-dimensional codes enclosed in their invitation letters before entering the conference room and then were ushered to the scheduled seats.

Some businessmen said that it became more convinient for them to locate those interested in their projects because of the carefully designed seats.

During the promotional conference's project matchmaking period, a total of 75 projects have been thoroughly discussed between their owners and investors, including 20 cultural tourism projects, 16 infrastructure projects, six overseas investment and financing projects, six intelligent manufacturing projects, five modern agriculture projects, four real estate projects, two internet projects and two big data projects.

The 2017 CIFIT witnessed the signing of 1,577 investment projects worth 532.7 billion yuan ($81.0 billion) and attracted more than 100,000 domestic and foreign business representatives from 107 countries and regions, 4,000 domestic and foreign enterprises, nearly 700 business groups, and 40 multinational corporations.
