The National Ballet of China is to stage a performance in Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on May 20, reports Baotou Daily.
The ballet will perform dances from Swan Lake and The Yellow River.
In October 2017 the ballet performed The Red Detachment of Women in Baotou city.
Established in 1959, the National Ballet of China is the only national ballet in China. Last year marked the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, and to recognize the special event, the ballet company reorganized Yi Meng Song (Ode to Yimeng Mountains) into a three-chapter ballet named Yi Meng Qing (Love for Yimeng Mountains), which condensed the original story of an hour into 20 minutes.
