A photography activity was held in Xiamen, Fujian province from April 21 to 22 as part of the "Travel & Photograph in Sister Cities" event, which was aimed at helping local expatriates learn more about the coastal city.
Approximately 80 shutterbugs from the United States, Brazil, Thailand, Ethiopia, Singapore and other countries signed up for the activity.
Guided by professional photographers from the Xiamen Photographers Association, these photography enthusiasts journeyed deep into Xiamen's countryside to admire the changes Xiamen has made since the BRICS summit held in September 2017. They were quite impressed by south Fujian's unique culture.
The "Travel & Photograph in Sister Cities" event is sponsored by Xiamen's Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, the Xiamen Friendship Association, and the Xiamen Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
Xiamen's expatriates, as well as Xiamen residents who have lived in or traveled to Xiamen's sister cities, are welcome to take pictures of the city. This will give others the opportunity to see beautiful Xiamen from the perspective of a foreigner, and will also give Xiamen locals a taste of the exotic charm of Xiamen's sister cities.
If you want to take part in the event, email your pictures to travelphotoxm@163.com. Outstanding photos will be exhibited this September.
