The Museum of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture was first established in 1960 and has moved three times. The current museum covers an area of more than 20,000 sq m of which 7,200 are for exhibition.
There are nearly 15,000 collections in the museum, more than 500 of which are at the national level. The main collections here contain ancient relics and modern items as well as folk artifacts of the Korean people.
The prefecture has a rich ethnic history with unique cultures and customs, displayed here through multimedia.
