Founded in 2004, Lifeline Shanghai is affiliated to Lifeline International. It serves the English-speaking community with free, confidential, and anonymous emotional support via telephone from 10 am to 10 pm, throughout the year, helping them find strategies to get through tough situations.
Lifeline Shanghai relies on the time and efforts of volunteers in Shanghai. These volunteers deliver Lifeline Shanghai's telephone helpline services, raise funds, attend outreach events, and conduct administrative duties.
It has also joined forces with R U OK?, an Australian suicide prevention charity, to launch an important community awareness campaign encouraging all of us to support people who maybe struggling.
