AXA Tianping P&C Insurance Co, Ltd, currently the largest foreign-funded property insurer in China, established its Shanghai Branch in 2007.
The company, founded in 2004, was merged from the former Tianping Auto Insurance Co, Ltd and the AXA Insurance Co, Ltd. With a registered capital of 846 million yuan ($135 million), it specializes in compulsory traffic accident liability insurance for motor vehicles, commercial insurance for motor vehicles, business property insurance, home property insurance, cargo insurance, liability insurance, short-term accident insurance and health insurance.
