Feng Yuzhen, mayor of Hohhot, met with Ding Xuchang, head of the No 6 Research Institute under China Aerospace Science and Industry Co (CASIC), one of the nation's major space contractors to exchange ideas on promoting the development of civil-military integration and intelligent industry on April 18.
Li Zhibin, deputy director of the Public Security Department of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, also attended the meeting.
The two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation and seek common development.
Feng Yuzhen stressed that Hohhot would continue to fully implement the national and regional strategies of civil-military integration.
He showed his strong willingness to work with the No 6 Research Institute under CASIC to explore new areas of cooperation.
Ding Xuchang thanked the government of Hohhot for their firm support during the past few years.
“The institute will step up communications and deepen cooperation to push intelligent projects such as intelligent tourism, intelligent water management, and intelligent security inspection,” said Ding.
The No 6 Research Institute under CASIC, moved its headquarters to Hohhot in 1965. It is the first national research and production base for solid-fuelled rocket engines. The institute has also expanded its business to the design and building of smart cities.
