Baotou held a promotional tourism event in Fuzhou, Fujian province on April 16, hoping to attract more visitors from the city to the northern climes of Inner Mongolia, according to nmgnews.com.cn.
In contrast to Fuzhou, a city with abundant hot spring resources, Baotou represents China’s sprawling nomadic grassland culture.
Hosted by the Tourism Development Committee of Baotou, the event showcased the city’s many major tourist attractions such as Wudang Lamasery, Nanhai Wetland scenic area, and Meidai Monastery.
At the event, visitors from Fuzhou were offered discounts and incentives on the trips to Baotou, and tour operators from both sides signed cooperation agreements – the partnerships opening up more opportunities for cultural exchanges.
