The "Asia No.1" project of Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com settled in Tianjin Jinghai Economic and Development Area on March 12.
With an investment of 4 billion yuan ($633.2 million), the project covers 408,000 square meters. The automatic storing center, E-commerce accounting center and distribution center will be built as a level e-business center. The project will promote the development of the northern logistics industry.
JD.com is devoted to making the automatic operations center the largest and most automated B2C (Business-to-Customer) facility in Asia.
After the construction, all products will be stored in the one logistics center to reduce cross-regional operations, improve satisfaction and reduce cost. The automatic devices will also improve efficiency and accuracy.
