Oat noodles, mutton, beef, dairy products, astragalus, potato and other agricultural products from Wuchuan county in Inner Mongolia autonomous region were exhibited at the 6th Beijing Agricultural Fair on April 14, garnering much interest from visitors.
Nearly 20 companies and farmers' cooperatives from Wuchuan attended the fair.
In recent years, Wuchuan has committed to the promotion of its regional industries through a boost in consumption.
Wuchuan has continued to partner with companies in other counties and cities to further promote the integration of culture, education, tourism and business across the county.
The promotion of a variety of featured products, and the resulting consumption, has helped lift many Wuchuan residents out of poverty.
The county has also emphasized supply-side structural reforms and made great efforts to build four industrial chains covering agriculture, animal husbandry, food, healthcare, and traditional Chinese medicine.
In addition to agricultural products, Wuchuan also brought such cultural performances as humai (Mongolian throat singing) and changdiao (long-tune folk songs) to the fair.
During the event, Wuchuan also promoted investment in the county's markets.
The fair runs for 58 days and attracted more than 60,000 visitors in its first week alone.
