A food festival held recently in Hohhot exhibited scores of typical and traditional Mongolian dishes and snacks prepared by more than 100 chefs from the autonomous region’s 12 leagues and cities, along with others from Mongolia.
The event, organized by Inner Mongolia Catering and Restaurant Industry Association, was designed to promote Mongolian cuisine and local dining customs.
“This is the fourth staging of a Mongolian food festival,” said Lang Lixing, association director. “This time we are focusing on showcasing delicious and hearty grassland dishes.”
The festival provided visitors with the chance to enjoy traditional, classical and creative Mongolian dishes made with unique ingredients and cooking methods.
