Sanmenxia's new big health project gets approved

A meeting was held on April 12 in Shanzhou district, Sanmenxia to review the blueprints for Gaoyang Mountain Health Industrial Park. A panel of experts approved the park blueprints submitted by the local government.

The experts came from organizations such as the Shaanxi Institute of Urban & Rural Planning and Design and the Shaanxi Municipal Engineering Design & Research Institute Co Ltd.

They concluded that the plans met standards with a new and original design, objective analysis, and comprehensive research, while also suggesting several revisions.

District mayor Hu Zhiquan said in his speech, "The project has come at just the right time and place," as it coincides perfectly with China's push to develop the big health industry. Big health has become a priority in multiple provinces and cities.

"It's an integral part of Sanmenxia's development strategy, " said Hu.

The district is ideally located due to convenient transportation which connects it to the north and south. With the arrival of the Zhengzhou-Xi'an high-speed railway, Inner Mongolia-Jiangxi railway, and Sanmenxia-Yangkou railway, Shanzhou district will become a regional transportation hub.

The region boasts hot springs and a unique natural environment, which is why health tourism has become a focus of development. Gaoyang Mountain Health Industrial Park will combine rehabilitation, leisure and tourism, business, and sports. and will strive to build itself into a popular destination.

The park will cover an area of 8.98 square kilometers.
