Young people from Taiwan are finally aware of where to seek dedicated assistance when starting their own businesses in Guangzhou. The "Taiwan Youth Entrepreneurship Incubation Base", the first of its kind in Guangzhou, was officially established at Huanghuagang Technology Park in Yuexiu district on April 17.
The incubation base is guided by the Taiwan affairs office of the Guangzhou municipal government and the Yuexiu district government, and is supported by the management committee of Huanghuagang Technology Park and an incubator company. It aims to be an innovation service platform for Taiwan's young entrepreneurs, offering entrepreneurship incubation, business matching, and resource-sharing.
According to the Yuexiu authorities, the incubation base will follow Guangzhou's development strategy on IAB industries (the next generation of companies in information technology, artificial intelligence and biological medicine) and take into account Huanghuagang Technology Park's growth orientation in cultural creativity, health & medicine, and high-tech industries. It will provide Taiwan's young entrepreneurs with low-cost offices, internet services, social spaces, and financing opportunities and improve their abilities in applying the latest technologies, developing new products, expanding markets, and coming up with new business ideas.
The incubation base has set an annual goal of introducing at least three IAB industrial investment projects, incubating at least two startups, hosting five cross-strait exchange activities, and attracting more than 50 entrepreneurs and employees from Taiwan.
