The fourth annual meeting on China's trade, tourism and culture industries was held in Liangxi district, Wuxi on April 12.
Nearly 500 people were present at the meeting, including representatives from the departments of commerce, tourism and culture, and construction and management bodies, as well as government delegates from Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing, Suzhou, etc.
The "Annual Meeting on China's Trade, Tourism and Culture Industries" was first held in 2015, with previous meetings being held in Chengdu, Shenyang and Chongqing.
Through integrating its commerce, trade, tourism and culture resources, Liangxi district has established a novel system for urban industrial development, a significant step towards the integrated development of the three industries, said Han Jianhui, director of the Committee on Commercial Streets of China.
The meeting focuses on the integrated development of the trade, tourism and culture industries in the Yangtze River Delta region and the rest of the country. Other regions will draw from the experiences of Liangxi district.
In other news, cultural activities along the Grand Canal were held in Nanchan Temple and Nanchang Street historical scenic area, including cultural performances, tea-tasting events and exhibitions of intangible cultural heritages.
