Shenyang launches over 100 spring tourism activities

Shenyang Tourism Commission in Shenyang, Northeast China's Liaoning province, announced the launch of more than 100 spring tourism activities based on six themes, at the press conference for spring tourism held in the city on April 11.

The themes include flowers, sports and fitness, entertainment, folk customs, public service activities, and food festivals.

From April to May, visitors can view various kinds of flowers including cherry blossoms, tulips, apricot blossoms, and azaleas, in places such as Shenyang Expo Garden and Beiling Park.

A mountain-climbing competition will be held at Shenyang National Forest Park, and Tiexi district will hold Shenyang's first outdoor sports cultural festival.

Activities including a ceramics exhibition, a symphony concert, errenzhuan (a song-and-dance performance popular in Northeast China) performances, paper-cutting shows, and several food festivals will also be held during the spring tourism season.
