Shengjing Grand Theatre
Shengjing Grand Theatre is a new landmark in Shenyang to enrich locals’ cultural lives. The theatre, with its steel-and-glass structures, is shaped like a diamond. People can enjoy the landscape of Hunhe River from inside in the daytime and view the performances from outside during nighttime. Traditional operas, Western dramas and elegant symphonies are often staged there.

Liaoning Grand Theatre
Liaoning Grand Theatre is shaped like a jade dragon, representing Hongshan culture, a Neolithic culture in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia autonomous region dating back 6,500-5,000 years. The theater consists of large and small theaters, a cinema, multi-function hall, restaurant, bar and rehearsal room. It hosts diversified art performances such as ballet, opera, concerts and drama.
Zhonghua Theatre
Zhonghua Theatre is the only well-preserved wooden theatre in Shenyang. The famous acrobatic show – Cai Shaowu’s cycling stunts – was once staged in the theatre. Since 2009, the theatre has become a hot spot for drama performances.

Liulaogen Stage
Liulaogen Stage, built in 1908, is the oldest theater in Shenyang. It was renamed Liulaogen Stage after famous comic Zhao Benshan started to perform errenzhuan (a popular folk art in Northeast China) in the theater in 2003. Now it has become the main theater for errenzhuan shows.
