Shanghai Zoo
Built in 1954, Shanghai Zoo covers a total area of 74.3 square meters and is China's second largest zoo. It houses more than 400 species of wild animals from all over the world, of which the most precious include pandas, golden monkeys, South China tigers, and Chinese alligators.
The zoo boasts nearly 600 varieties of plants. In recent years, the zoo has focused on improving its ecological environment, enabling visitors to be closer to nature.
The zoo has been upgraded into a comprehensive park featuring entertainment, popularization of animal knowledge, scientific research and wild animal protection.
