Google and Facebook have confirmed that they will be attending the China International Big Data Industry Expo (Big Data Expo) in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province from May 26 to 29, organizers revealed on April 10.
Some 300 enterprises have already confirmed their attendance to the Big Data Expo, including Alibaba, JD, Tencent, 360, Rittal, Huawei, Dell, SAS and Oracle. This is the first time that Google and Facebook will attend the event.
The big data expo, held once a year in Guiyang, has transformed from a small regional gathering into a national event which promotes the exchange of ideas among experts, companies and entrepreneurs worldwide.
Last year's event attracted business leaders such as Jack Ma, founder of Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba, Pony Ma, CEO of Tencent, and Li Yanhong, founder of Baidu Inc, to share their insights into the digital economy.
More than 20,000 attendees from some 30 countries and regions took part in the expo to discuss major issues in the industry and explore opportunities for cooperation.
