China's consumer price index (CPI), a main gauge of inflation, rose 2.1 percent year-on-year in March, the National Bureau of Statistics said Wednesday.
The increase was down from 2.9 percent for February, according to the bureau.
The producer price index (PPI), which measures costs for goods at the factory gate, rose 3.1 percent year-on-year in March.
It was down from the 3.7 percent recorded in February, according to the NBS.
