Sideline competitions to precede China's upcoming Big Data Expo

The US Division Final of the 2018 Artificial Intelligence Global Competition concluded in Silicon Valley, California on April 8.

This competition is a sideline event for this year's China International Big Data Industry Exposition, which will be held on May 26 in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

This year's AI Global Competition is divided into six divisions, spanning across countries such as the United States, Israel and China. There is a total of five million yuan ($793,000) in prizes.

Ten teams qualified for the US finals. They specialize in cutting-edge technology like the IoT (Internet of Things), self-driving technology, machine visuality, AR and VR.

CocoonCam、Mira、and Cloudstructure were the top three teams and qualified for this year's AI Global Competition semi-finals and finals, which will be held from May 23 to 25 in Guiyang city.
