The Xinghai Conservatory of Music is located in Tianhe district in Guangzhou City, South China's Guangdong province. It was established in 1932 by the composer Ma Sicong as the Guangzhou Conservatory of Music.
The school is named after the noted Chinese composer Xian Xinghai , who died on October 30, 1945 at the age of 40. It is the only school for higher education in music in South China.
