The vegetarian culture exposition will be held at Dajue Temple in Yixing, Jiangsu province, known as the home of purple clay, from April 28 to May 5. It is one of the city's main activities during the travel season.
Initiated by Master Hsing Yun, a famous Buddhist master at Fo Kwang Mountain in Taiwan, the exposition has been held for six years, advocating vegetarian culture and green living. It has given more than a million people the opportunity to experience various vegetarian dishes from around the world.
This year's exposition will include 40 booths, featuring special products and snacks from Taiwan and even Fo Kwang Mountain.
The entire 2018 "Tea and Zen Cultural Experience Journey to Yixing" tourism event, held from March to June, focuses on all-for-one tourism, transformation and innovation, and green living. It takes full advantage of Yixing's charm.

The art festival, with a "Tea and Zen" theme, will also first be held during the vegetarian culture exposition. It will invite experts and scholars from Taiwan and the mainland to discuss tea art, culture, history and cooperation with enterprises.
Xizhu town in Yixing will also promote tea-themed cultural tourism, attracting visitors who wish to enjoy rural life by collecting tea leaves, digging up bamboo shoots and making purple clay teapots.
