Many tourists also visited “red tourism” sites in memory of revolutionary martyrs, like the Memorial Hall of the Final Battle of Gaoyou in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45), the Memorial Hall of the New Fourth Army Guocun Battle, and the Yangzhou Cemetery of Revolutionary Martyrs.

This tomb-sweeping holiday was the first long holiday after the “No 3 Document”, which aimed at better serving tourists in Yangzhou and was implemented this year. Ticket prices at all the major scenic spots of Yangzhou were at a discount. Free direct buses between the sites, two temporary parking lots and four temporary free transfer centers were also opened for visitors, which brought tourists great benefit and convenience.

A visitor from Shanghai surnamed Qian said that the Yangzhou’s measure brings nonlocal tourists many benefits, especially in terms of ticket prices and transportation.
