Cherry-themed subway trains started operation on subway No 1, 2, 3 and 12 in Dalian city, Northeast China’s Liaoning province, on April 3.
The train marks the 10th anniversary of the annual Dalian (Lushun) International Cherry Festival, which will open in the middle of April this year.
It takes passengers to enjoy the beauty of cherry blossoms in Lushunkou district of Dalian city, and aims to promote a green and low carbon lifestyle among people.
A total of 30,000 commemorative subway tickets will be on sale at stations of line 1 and 2 starting from April 21. People with tickets can enjoy 5-yuan (79.3 cents) off when buying tickets to 203 Cherry Garden in Lushunkou district.
