Nestled among mountains, Hechi Airport has an elevation of 677 meters, the highest elevation in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
Covering an area of 2,500 square meters, the airport, the seventh in Guangxi, first opened to traffic on Aug 28, 2014, greatly releasing traffic pressure.
The airport is 28 kilometers away from Hechi downtown, and has direct flights to numerous cities such as Chongqing, Haikou, Guilin and Xi'an.
