Baotou Railway Station
Established in 1956, Baotou Railway Station is the largest of its kind managed by the China Railway Hohhot Group Co. It is located in Kundulun district, Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 832 kilometers away from the Beijing Railway Station.
After several rounds of renovation, the station currently covers a construction area of 15,000 square meters. Well equipped with infrastructures and facilities such as boutique stores and self-service banks, it’s one of the most advanced railway stations in Northwest China. The waiting hall is capable of accommodating 5,000 passengers.
Services including baggage deposit, self-service printing, free WIFI, vehicle parking, and emergency medical rescue are all available. Also, foreign passengers don’t need to worry about the communication problem as convenient translation machines cover up to 30different languages.
During the 2019 May Day holiday, the station handled 202,909 passengers with a daily average of 40,600.
