GGB's first Asian manufacturing facility began production in Suzhou, China, in 2008. Suzhou was the production center, and the distribution network sites were in Shanghai, Wuhan and Guangzhou.
GGB has nearly 1,000 customers in various industries. A new, larger plant was opened in the Suzhou New District in 2016 to serve the markets for automotive pumps and compressors, construction equipment, and agriculture and industrial products. GGB's manufacturing plant in Suzhou New District received AS9100 C certification, a global quality management standard for aviation, space and defense industries in 2017, adding to its booming domestic business.
