Qingdao has fully established the “one-hour economic circle” as direct highway connection has been realized between the main urban areas, districts and county-level cities with all towns within a half-hour reach of expressways. 

By the end of 2017, the coverage of bus stops within a radius of 500 meters for downtown Qingdao will reach 95 percent. The highway traffic mileage of the city will reach 16,148 kilometers, and that of its expressways will reach 818.4 kilometers. 

By 2018, Qingdao will be built into a leading public transportation model city in the country with the coverage of bus stops within a radius of 500 meters for downtown Qingdao reaching 100 percent.
